I looked this site over and it was alright. There was not a big selection of Audio books to select from. I was not interested in the book selection.

My experience with blogging

I really enjoyed some of the aspects of blogging. I enjoyed YOUTUBE and Image generator. Google docs was pretty interesting to. Flickr was fun. I never did get the hang of tabs or wikis. Some things I will probably never do and then there are other things I can see me using. I do believe I have had a lot of fun exploring the new technology that is out there. It will be useful when we have to start blogging on the blog that was set up for South High and Parsons to communicate.

I enjoyed playing with this site.  I went to the travel section and explored prices to go to Boston.  My husband’s family and my brother live in the Boston area.  My family lives in Maine.  We are all spread out.  I was able to compare prices of various airlines and various sites to get the best bargain.  There were many interesting sites that you could explore.  I thing that this would be a very useful tool to use.

Wiki

I visited the Bull Run Library wiki.  It was a very informative site about their library and what was happening in their community.  I also visited the Library book site and this was not very interesting.

Web2 and Library 2

We are moving towards less books in the library by using the Web2 and Library2 services on the internet.  People will be able to research isbn numbers and also will be able to access an open URL registry.  They should be able to get any type of information on the Web for any project or application that they need.  This will cut down on circulation and the number of print materials that a Library will need.  It is becoming more of a virtual world and we all need to be prepared for this transition.

delicious

I have played around with delicious.  It was interesting and educational.  I don’t know how much I will use it but you never know .  I like the idea of using tags to find things more easily and to be more efficent.

Twitter

I have looked over twitter and I do not think I would be chatting on the Web.  I have never gone into a chat room or chatted with anyone over the internet.  I am not interested in doing this.  I will contribute to the Library blog we have set up for our branch.

Technology

I have never done a blog in my whole life.  My family cannot believe that I have a blog and wanted to see it on the website.  They were amazed at how I set one up and how much I had on it.  I am not a very technical person and this is a whole lot of technology for me.
